Debate "Mobility Sustainable Transitions"
BSB and the Erasmus+ project UAM School4Cities organize a half-day event (10:00-13:00) in the format of a ‘glocal’ debate on sustainable mobility transitions with a focus on the role of smart cities and innovation clusters in driving societal and technological (r)evolutions.
A networking 🍷 cocktail will follow from 13:00 to 14:00.
The event will take place at the Auditorium of the BSB Lyon Campus.
What to expect: themes and research questions
The event through keynotes and roundtables will shed light on the state of the art policy practices and impactful scholarship from Europe, Japan and China. It will address amongst others, key themes such as :
- why do transitions matter for cities and clusters in embracing socio-technical change
- European perspectives on advances in sustainable urban and regional mobility
- on deploying automated vehicles such as drones for civilian uses
- preparing local authorities for the drones’ era
- digital transitions in urban mobility
- transitions in logistics and the interplays of the digital and physical internet
- the Grand Tokyo Innovation Ecosystem, and design of a Hydrogen ecosystem for Toyota
- research insights on Shanghai Tencent’s Mobility Academy with a focus on internet electrical cars,
and the role of innovation clusters in sustainable mobility transitions.
For those who cannot attend in person, the event will be accessible through a zoom connection.
