Interview of Didier Jacquet, Director of the MSc ''Wine Management''.
Didier Jacquet is the Director of the MSc ''Wine Management''.
"Our 60 students come here to acquire a broad, international vision of the economic and strategic drivers of the industry. In the future, they will have to make decisions, whether they are at the head of a domain or in charge of an activity within a group. What will count is their ability to grasp the issues at stake and decipher the processes involved.
To do this, we go into the details of each business skill: the legal, financial and economic aspects. But also production and, of course, tasting, which is becoming increasingly important. We want our students to be comfortable and relevant in any situation, in any function and in any context.
One of the highlights of the program is a business game played by teams, made hyper-realistic by the regular injection of destabilizing hazards. The blind tasting challenge on 5 wines at the time of integration, and repeated in April under the same conditions, also contributes to our collective dynamic. The strong Indian and Chinese contingents in our workforce testify to the attractiveness of a training program that combines academic solidity with openness to the diversity of the industry's professionals, who are entrusted with up to 40% of the interventions."
