Camille Bornier, BSB’13
Organizing the Olympic Games inevitably means carrying the flame. From Marseilles to Paris, 68 stages mark out the route from May 9 to July 26.
And for the 37e stage, in Vichy, it was an alumni who had the honor of taking part. Camille Bornier, BSB'13, was one of the 10% of applicants chosen by the Vichy Communauté: "Being identified without even having applied is a real source of pride! For me, it's a real recognition of my involvement in the region.
Camille took part in the prestigious relay from the CREPS in Vichy on June 21. "I was chosen because of my involvement in equestrian sports. A rider for 30 years, I'm also a horse breeder and coach in equicoaching. As you may have guessed, Camille completed the first 200 metres of the course...on horseback!
Christine Nordé, BSB'94
"It was a great pleasure for me to carry the Olympic flame to Haute Savoie in Hery sur Alby! Carrying the values of Olympism and sport loud and clear is a source of great pride for me. I'll long remember the incredible atmosphere that carries you along the route. Being part of the Paris 2024 Torch Relay is an honor and I had the pleasure of sharing it with my family and friends."
Rudy Lima, BSB'11
"The flame passed through the Centre-Val de Loire region, and more than just seeing it, I was lucky enough, thanks to the Caisse d'Epargne Loire Centre, to take part in the collective relay in Orléans Métropole and carry the flame. It was a real honor and a joy to be part of this small piece of Paris 2024 history, and above all to share a convivial and emotional moment with the other torchbearers. It will remain engraved in my memory forever."
